Tashia Miller, Outreach and Engagement Librarian at the University of Michigan, is Michigan’s American Library Association (ALA) Chapter Councilor. The ALA Council is the governing body of ALA and establishes policies to plan and carry out programs and activities of the association. The Council meets twice a year, at LibLearnX and the ALA Annual Meeting.

We are very lucky to have such wonderful representation at the national level by our ALA Councilor. Since 2022, she has represented MLA’s interests. Part of her responsibility is to connect Michigan to the national agenda and to represent us at ALA conventions.
